Simulate Blackjack games using strategy tables
How does bbjd work in a real environment? In order to test this, one must simulate many games to check if this theory helps to increase your average winnings against the dealer. One of the experiences one will notice immediately is, that while the average of the capital is slightly increasing, the volatility of the capital is extreme - so extreme that chances are good to loose all the capital you started with. The fundamental factors to gain an advantage over the the dealer are, ordered:
- The correctness of card counting.
- The initial capital.
- Where the cutting card is located, ie. after how many gone cards the content in the shoe is reshuffled - the later the better. Remember, positive total expectations can only be found when many cards are gone.
- The maximum allowed stake - the higher the better.
- The factor by which the stake is increased when the total expectation is above zero - the higher the better.
- The minimum required stake - the lower the better.
- The number of other gamblers at the table - the less the better.
- The players (your) position at the table - the higher the better.
The meaning of "other gamblers" sitting at the table is to make the simulation more realistic. These dummy gamblers buy until their score is 17 or higher. They neither double nor split and their sole purpose is to act as placeholders.
